Kwiga Club
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Kwiga Club collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Kwiga Club mobile app and related services.
- Kwiga Club is designed for children, and we try to keep data collection limited to what is reasonably needed to run the app, support subscriptions, and keep the service reliable.
- Children can use core learning features without creating a recoverable account. When account linking or purchase restoration is needed, those steps are intended for a parent or guardian.
- In the current child-focused mobile flow, we try to limit remote analytics to coarse operational counters rather than child-linked activity history. More account-linked technical data may be processed when a parent manages Premium or uses account support features.
- The current mobile app does not use third-party advertising SDKs for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
- Some learning data stays only on the device, including onboarding learning preferences, favorites, rewards state, and cached content used for offline or faster playback.
- Parents and guardians can contact support@kwigaclub.com to request help with access, correction, deletion, or account-linked data questions.
1. Who We Are
Kwiga Club is a language-learning service operated for users of the Kwiga Club mobile application, kwigaclub.com, and related services.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, you can contact us at support@kwigaclub.com.
2. Quick Summary for Parents and Guardians
Kwiga Club is a child-directed learning app, so we aim to use plain language and collect as little personal data as we reasonably can while still making the app work, supporting premium purchases, and improving reliability.
In practical terms, that means the current app focuses on on-device learning data and limited account, subscription, and analytics information rather than social features, public profiles, or advertising-based tracking.
We do not intend to require children to disclose more personal information than is reasonably necessary to use the child-focused learning features of the app.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Kwiga Club, we may process account information such as an account identifier, authentication provider, and an email address returned by Apple, Google, or another recoverable sign-in method when a parent or guardian manages Premium or account recovery support. We may also use generated device-based or anonymous identifiers before an account is linked.
We process subscription and billing-related records, including opaque subscriber identifiers, plan status, product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal or expiry information, and purchase or restore events. Payments themselves are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, and our subscription provider rather than by us directly. In the current implementation, Premium checkout and restore are tied to the subscriber identifier rather than requiring a parent email address to complete billing.
We process product usage and device-related information used to support internal operations and keep the service working, such as app version, build number, platform, learning language, app mode, and app interaction information used for reliability, analytics, security, debugging, and service improvement. In the current child-focused mobile flow, we try to reduce remote analytics by limiting them to aggregate operational counters and by not sending account identifiers, installation identifiers, or session identifiers in that child-mode analytics path.
Some information is stored locally on your device, such as onboarding learning preferences, rewards state, favorites, profile settings, cached content, and progress data needed for the learning experience.
The onboarding flow currently asks which language the learner wants to study. That selection is stored with other on-device learning preferences so the app can personalize content and can be changed later in Settings.
If a parent or guardian chooses to use an email-linked recovery or support flow, that email may still be stored with the related subscriber or account records and may be synced with our subscription systems where reasonably needed for support or recovery.
4. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect in the Current App
The current mobile app is not designed to collect a child’s voice recordings, and our Android build blocks microphone permission. Pronunciation and lesson audio play through the device speaker without recording the child.
We do not describe Kwiga Club as using third-party advertising SDKs for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
The current app does not include public profiles, public posting, or user-to-user messaging features. We also do not describe the current implementation as requesting a child’s contacts, precise location, or camera access for core learning use.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate Kwiga Club, including authentication, syncing learning content, restoring purchases, enabling premium access, and keeping the app working reliably across devices and releases.
We use information to improve the service, measure feature usage, understand content engagement at an appropriate level, troubleshoot bugs, protect our systems, and maintain service security. In the current child-focused mobile flow, we try to do this using reduced remote analytics rather than child-linked activity histories.
We also use contact and account information to respond to support requests, handle account-related inquiries, and process privacy or deletion requests.
6. Third-Party Services and Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us run Kwiga Club, including Google Firebase for authentication, cloud functions, cloud storage, content delivery, and analytics-related processing.
We share subscription-related information with RevenueCat and the relevant app store provider, such as Apple or Google, so purchases, subscriptions, entitlement checks, and restores can work correctly. That may include subscriber identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement status, and related transaction metadata. A parent email address is not required in the current mobile billing flow simply to complete a purchase or restore.
If a parent or guardian chooses Apple or Google sign-in, those providers help authenticate the account according to their own terms and privacy practices.
We do not describe Kwiga Club as using third-party advertising SDKs for behavioral advertising in the current app implementation.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users and the public, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Permissions and On-Device Storage
Kwiga Club stores some learning information on the device to make the app feel fast and reliable, including preferences, progress, rewards state, favorites, cached media, and profile settings.
Onboarding preferences, including the selected learning language, are stored on the device to support the learning experience. If you remove the app or clear local app storage, that on-device information may also be removed from the device.
The app plays lesson audio through the speaker. In the current implementation, we do not use the app to record a child’s voice for learning activities.
8. Children's Privacy
Kwiga Club is intended for children, including children under 13. We aim to limit personal data collection to what is reasonably necessary to provide the app, support subscriptions, secure the service, and improve the learning experience.
Children can use core learning features without creating a recoverable account. Where premium features require account linking or subscription restoration, those steps are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian using their own Apple, Google, or email account.
In the current child-focused mobile flow, we try to reduce remote analytics by limiting them to aggregate operational counters and by not sending account identifiers, installation identifiers, or session identifiers in that child-mode analytics path.
If the collection, use, or disclosure of a child’s personal information requires parental consent or authorization under applicable law, including for child-directed services, we expect that consent or authorization to be provided by a parent or guardian.
Where account-linked features, subscription restoration, support requests, or other flows involve personal information from a child beyond what is reasonably necessary for internal operations or core app functionality, we intend those steps to be handled with parent or guardian involvement.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information in a way that concerns you, contact us at support@kwigaclub.com and we will review the request, including requests to access, correct, or delete relevant information.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Kwiga Club, maintain account and subscription records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service.
Information stored locally on your device may remain there until you remove the app, clear app storage, or delete the relevant local data. Some analytics or operational records may be retained in aggregated or security logs for a longer period where reasonably necessary.
Subscription and transaction records may also be retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other providers involved in purchase processing under their own retention practices and legal obligations.
10. Data Deletion and Your Choices
You can choose whether to create or link a recoverable account, and many parts of the app can be used without one. You can manage subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for your purchase.
For on-device information, you can remove the app or clear local app storage on the device. That can remove locally stored preferences, progress, rewards state, favorites, and cached learning content that are not tied to a recoverable account.
For account-linked information, optional subscriber email data, or deletion requests relating to our systems or service providers acting on our behalf, parents or guardians can contact support@kwigaclub.com. To help us process the request, please contact us from the email linked to your Kwiga Club account when possible if one is linked.
We may need to take reasonable steps to verify that the person making a privacy or deletion request is the account holder or a parent or guardian authorized to act for the child before completing certain requests.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including authenticated services, access controls, and platform security tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Additional Rights for Users in the EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy rights, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and data portability, subject to applicable law.
Where applicable, we process personal data on legal bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing Kwiga Club, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required.
Where local law requires parental or guardian authorization for a child's personal data, we expect the parent or guardian to exercise those rights on the child's behalf unless local law provides otherwise.
13. International Processing
Kwiga Club and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in locations where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at this page and update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Kwiga Club after an update means the updated policy will apply to future use of the service.
